AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PINELLAS PARK AND GEORGE RETKES

NOTE:  In September of 2024 a call for artists was advertised. George Retkes’ sculpture titled “Obeliral” was selected to be leased and displayed at the Barbara S. Ponce Public Library. Payment to the Artist by the City under the terms of this Agreement shall not exceed $6,000.00 for the loan of the Artwork over the full two (2) year term, divided into four (4) payments of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00). Those payments will be charged to account number 301175-562520 and project number 23175/205.

 

Recommendation

ACTION: (Approve - Deny) Authorization for the City Manager to sign a lease agreement between the City of Pinellas Park and George Retkes for a sculpture to be located at 7770 52nd Street North.
