AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE VOICE PROJECTION UNITS - The Team Room

NOTE: This is a request to authorize the police department to purchase thirty-three voice projection units from The Team Room 6341 Porter Rd Building B, Suite 3, Sarasota FL 34240 for $20,434.44.
These thirty-three voice projection units will be utilized by SWAT Team members. This specialized equipment attaches to a gas mask and facilitates the communication during a tactical environment where chemical munitions have been deployed. The equipment will benefit the community by giving our SWAT Team advanced communication equipment during high-risk calls incidents within the City.
Chief Adam Geissenberger is requesting funding through our Confiscated Property Fund. Pursuant to Florida Statue 932.704(3)(a), this is to certify that this proposed expenditure complies with the State required provisions for expenditure of these funds.
Recommendation
ACTION: (Approve - Deny) Authorization to purchase voice projection units totaling $20,434.44 from The Team Room, 6341 Porter Rd Building B, Suite 3, Sarasota FL 34240 using the funds from the Confiscated Property Fund Operating Account 104-212-5-331-10.
