Body

NOTE:  The Health in All Policies framework encourages local governments to acknowledge and act upon the fact that resources and policies related to food access, housing, transportation, safety, education, land use, air and water quality, criminal justice, and economic development have a direct impact on health and are sometimes unequally distributed among populations.  The Florida Department of Health - Pinellas County and its partners are looking to transform local policymaking by bringing a “Health in All Policies Approach” across government and community sectors.  Adopting this framework will help leaders recognize the health consequences of different policy options prior to implementation.
