NOTE: Bid 25.021 - Replacement Windows & Doors was previously awarded by Council to the lowest bidder, Goldson Construction, on November 13, 2025, Item C16. It was determined that Goldson's proposal was incomplete, and the contract was not executed. The next proposal was submitted by Best Home Protection for $1,100,000.00. This is going to be paid from a grant - Window and Door Retrofit, 4337-503-R. The account to be charged is 301175-562512, Project String 25175/229. For the following locations: Forbes Recreation Center, Fire Department Station #34, and Community Resources Building.
Recommendation
ACTION: (Approve - Deny) Authorization to rescind Award of Bid 25.021 to Goldson Construction and award to Best Home Protection (7900 NW 103rd St., Hialeah, FL 33016) in the amount of $1,100,000.00 to be charged to the appropriate account.
