ORDINANCE NO. 4274. AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4262 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2023/24 BUDGET

NOTE: This budget amendment is our last one for the current fiscal year 2023/2024. For the General Fund, the amendment provides funding for some minor maintenance expenses, additional funds for liability & workers' comp. insurance premiums ($305,652), refuse & recycling expenses and revenue ($620,228), and adds grant funds of $53,000 in the Police and Fire departments. In the Water & Sewer fund, we have transferred funds within the divisions to revise estimates upward for water and reclaimed water purchases and sewage treatments costs in total $1,587,650. In the Police Confiscated fund, we have budgeted additional revenues approved from the court systems of $213,894. In the Capital Replacement Fund, we have budgeted additional funds for several unanticipated replacements of police vehicles, additional body cameras and Facilities equipment in total $260,737. In the Capital Improvement fund, we have decreased the budget for several of the city's major projects in total of $44,625,603. These funds will be carried over and added to next fiscal year's budget via budget amendment in November. In the Stormwater fund, we have added some funds for stormwater maintenance and depreciation of vehicles and equipment $452,197. The total city budget for this year will decrease by $38,757,844 for a revised city budget of $227,896,444.
