NOTE: This item authorizes the purchase of a covert Surveillance System from Point Blank Enterprises, Inc at 2102 SW 2nd St, Pompano Beach, FL 33069 for $42,107.71.
The surveillance equipment is a covert camera system and software which will allow police department personnel to remotely deploy and monitor surveillance. The equipment will benefit the community by providing an additional resource for the police department to monitor drug and crime areas as well as provide additional evidence and resources to combat crime.
An amount of $42,107.71 will be for the purchase of the equipment and contingencies associated with training and implementation associated with the equipment charged to forfeiture account 104-212-5-621-08.
Pursuant to Florida Statute 932.7055(5)(c1), this is to certify that this proposed expenditure complies with the State required provisions for the expenditure of these funds.
Recommendation
ACTION: (Approve - Deny) Authorization to purchase surveillance equipment from Point Blank Enterprises funded by forfeiture funds. The total cost for this purchase is $42,107.71 and will be charged to the appropriate account.
