Body

NOTE: In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) HUD notified the City of Pinellas Park that it will receive an allocation of $235,484 of Community Development Block Grant Program - Coronavirus Response funds (CDBG-CV) to be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19. This allocation was authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136, dated on March 27, 2020, to respond to the growing effects of this historic public health crisis. In accordance with the guidelines set forth in the City’s Citizen Participation Plan, a Substantial Amendment is required for allocating CDBG-CV funds.  The proposed Substantial Amendment to the 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan will add Public Services as a priority goal.  Substantial Amendments to the Program Year 2019 Annual Action Plan will include allocating $188,389 to be utilized for activities necessary in the preparation for, the prevention of, and in response to the COVID-19 crisis and $47,095 for Planning and Administration activities related to implementing COVID-19 activities.
