NOTE: This is a Funding Approval Agreement between the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the City of Pinellas Park in the amount of $235,484. These funds have been allocated as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act of March 27, 2020.
Funds will be utilized as follows: 20% ($47,095) for Planning and Administration activities; and, 80% ($188,389) for Public Services, to include Summer camp and after school programming (Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast and Girls, Inc.); Mortgage counseling (Tampa Bay Community Development Corporation); Homeless outreach (Directions for Living); and City expenses incurred for telework.
Community Development Block Grant activities are reimbursable by HUD and no cash match or in-kind commitments are required as part of this agreement.
Recommendation
ACTION: (Approve - Deny) Authorization for Mayor to sign a Funding Approval Agreement between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of Pinellas Park.
