NOTE: Recently, Pinellas Park Police Officers have engaged in a pilot program to identify the value of body worn cameras within our community and through police operations to distinguish any obstacles, barriers, or concerns with implementing a police body worn camera program.
For City Council’s consideration, Chief Haworth will provide a presentation that will include:
- Functionality of the Axon body worn camera system to include: activations, live view, and point of view
- Field deployment and deployment time frame
- Other local law enforcement agency deployments of body worn camera programs
- Data storage with Axon’s Evidence.com: uploads, security, audit trail, public records requests, and redactions
- Officer and citizen feedback
- Staff impact
- Financial impact
