NOTE: Bids were legally advertised. Three bids were received, which met the bid specifications, with Lou’s Police Distributors, Inc. (7815 West 4th Avenue, Hialeah, FL, 33014) being the low bidder with a bid submittal of $166,001.50, less $42,180.00 for trade-in items for a total bid submittal of $123,821.50. The amount budgeted for the Purchase of Replacement Handgun Systems is $153,000 (pg. 164 of the FY20/21 adopted budget). This project will be charged to the following accounts: Final handgun purchase of $10,722.00 after trade (items requiring asset numbers) to account 501-212-5-621-08 and the remaining items totaling $113,099.50 to account 001-212-5-454-00.
Recommendation
ACTION: (Approve - Deny) Authorization to award Bid 20/009 for the first portion of the Purchase of Replacement Weapons to Lou’s Police Distributors, Inc., in the amount of $123,821.50 to be charged to the appropriate accounts.
